Baha Mar, the leading resort destination in The Bahamas, announces the reopening of SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar, as well as signature restaurants and additional guest offerings. In completing the final phase of the resort destination’s reopening, Baha Mar marks a significant step forward towards economic recovery in The Bahamas. SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar are accepting reservations for stays beginning March 4, 2021.

Since reopening Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in December 2020, the resort destination has experienced tremendous success in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of associates and resort guests. Baha Mar has implemented a comprehensive COVID-19 testing strategy developed to safeguard the health of resort guests, visitors and Baha Mar associates. By establishing a COVID-19 testing site on property, in partnership with Doctors Hospital in Nassau, Baha Mar has facilitated over 20,000 COVID-19 rapid and PCR tests since December 2020.

By requiring COVID-19 testing for associates weekly, resort guests prior to check-in and local visitors dining on-property, as well as offering complimentary testing prior to guests’ departures, Baha Mar has introduced exceptional testing protocols to safely welcome back tourists to The Bahamas. The resort destination will continue to closely adhere to The Baha Mar Commitment to Wellbeing as well as The Safe Travels Initiative throughout 2021.

Revised cleanliness protocols go above and beyond Baha Mar’s already rigorous standards, covering all brands across Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood Baha Mar. Furthermore, standards include enhanced housekeeping and engineering, heightened food safety and digital ordering, touchless payments, and additional technology methods that allow for an abundance of contactless experiences from the moment guests check in. “Following the successful first phase of our reopening, we continue forward in our commitment towards rebuilding a prosperous future for tourism in The Bahamas,” said Graeme Davis, President, Baha Mar. “In reopening SLS and Rosewood, we complete the phased reopening of Baha Mar, and welcome back additional associates as well as our amazing guests to the resort destination. We have been honored by the incredible support of our community, and we look forward to reopening as we chart the course for the return of safe and responsible travel in The Bahamas and around the world.”

By March 4, 2021, Baha Mar will employ 2,500 associates, setting the course for economic recovery in The Bahamas, a nation that strongly relies on its tourism industry. The Bahamas has seen a sharp decline in COVID-19 cases since the end of 2020, aided by the country’s adherence to safe travel requirements for international travelers.
