Bison Impact Group (BIG), a nonprofit 501c3, hosts annual HBCU
Golf Tournament during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to
support HBCU students and survivors of intimate partner violence.
Tournament Participation and Impact
Impressions and Engagement

4th Annual HBCU Golf Tournament is Friday, October 6th at Needwood Golf Course

BIG partners with HBCUs and organizations working to end domestic violence,
the leading cause of death for Black women under-45. Through the HBCU Golf
Tournament and other activities, we raise money and awareness to help end
violence against women and children. Our tournament is open to seasoned
and novice golfers, as nationally less than 3% of recreational golfers are Black.
BIG strives to increase Black participation in the sport through Soulful Sundays,
our weekly golf clinic, to create a nurturing space to learn the game, cultivate
community and foster positive social impact on and off the course. Since
2020, we have raised over $100,000 through corporate sponsors and
community support.
Last year over 150 people attended our
tournament. For many, it was their first time
on a golf course. Our fundraising generated:
6.529 site visitors
1,633 Instagram followers
3,867 accounts reached in last 30-days
99% of tournament registrations sold
