SO, EXACTLY HOW DID YOU MEET?
We saw each other as freshman and connected with one another on social media and began to form a friendship over the course of Summer 2016. After communicating mainly through social media, we decided to exchange numbers as the start of the fall semester came closer. Upon returning to school sophomore year, we decided to officially meet in person and from there the rest is history. We formed a really good friendship before making things official and we’ve been inseparable since.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE PERSON THAT YOU WOULD MARRY?
“If you know, you know.”
There wasn’t one specific moment for either of us. We have such great natural chemistry and having a solid friendship just makes things easy for us. Surviving long distance solidified that we were unstoppable. We have a lot of things in common and we are always pushing each other to do more and step outside our comfort zones. It was a no brainer for us that we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together.
DESCRIBE THE PROPOSAL?
We got engaged on Eagle Beach on the island of Aruba. We planned a birthday trip out of the country to Aruba and Myles turned it into a surprise engagement trip. He was able to get our closest family to fly in and surprise Jimia. We had a beautiful engagement dinner on the beach with our friends and family after the proposal.
