SO, EXACTLY HOW DID YOU MEET?
We had a brief introduction at a friends house and would speak in passing on campus. Then we ran into one another again as Rob and a friend were out watching as partygoers were headed into Club Mitchell’s on Sycamore Street in Downtown Petersburg. Rob said to his friend, “That’s Her”. His friend said go talk to her! We had a brief conversation and were totally interested in one another but my girlfriends were rushing me into the party. I yelled “ I hope to see you when I come out”.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE PERSON THAT YOU WOULD MARRY?
First, he was indeed waiting for me after the party. Secondly, my oldest sister told me he was the one that I would marry.

Rob asked after 3 months of talking, he bought a ring, I put it on, and 3 months after that we were married.

How do you Balance Work, Home and Fun Times?
Since we never were able to go on a formal date before marriage, we now take turns planning monthly dates on the 8th of each month. We have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. It is a rare occasion that we are not all in our home at the same time. We spend a lot of time enjoying and celebrating our friends and family.oki
