A familiar face has returned “home” to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. We are delighted to welcome back Azzie Taylor in the role of Chief Deputy District Attorney! She began her career as a prosecutor at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in 2003, and previously served as our Chief Deputy DA from 2014-2016. She most recently held the position of Chief of Criminal Trials for the Alabama Attorney General’s Office. Chief Deputy District Attorney Taylor is a dedicated public servant who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. We are so glad to have her back as a member of the Montgomery DA’s Office family!

Azzie is a motivational speaker, advocate and attorney serving Montgomery, Alabama. She is happily married and the mother of two daughters. Azzie Taylor gradua… ted from Alabama State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 1998. In 1999 enrolled in Jones School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2003.
