Houston, TX (July 29, 2022) – Breaking Ground in the streets of Houston, TX, by way of New Orleans,
Louisiana, The Patio Chic brings The Patio Chic Conference (TPCCON) to the Hilton Americas–Houston
with a Mardi Gras Themed Patio Experience, “Laissez les bons temps rouler!”. The TPCCON will feature
workshops, entertainment, and much more. Beginning Friday, August 5, until Sunday, August 7, TPCCON
welcomes speakers, authors, retailers, manufacturers, designers, realtors, contractors, entrepreneurs,
and influencers to the Hilton Americas–Houston.
The Patio Chic founder Tara L. Paige has introduced a platform for women who love all things outdoor
and patio space living. During the pandemic, The Patio Chic became a staple in the lives of many women
of color. “While looking for inspiration, I couldn‘t seem to find girls that looked like me in the
outdoor living spaces. Then my mom’s words came to memory, “If you can‘t find what you are
looking for, create it.” So, I did!“ –says the Patio Chic founder. Tara created the Facebook
group Black Women Who Love Outdoor Living Spaces and the outside living lifestyle brand The
Patio Chic! Tara created the conference to curate a space for all women of color that love outdoor patio
space and décor. TPCCON will be three days of Networking, Education, Empowerment, and
Entertainment. TPCCON kicksoff with a fashion show powered by The HBCU magazine Hosted by Publisher Dr.Nikki Zeigler .
Then join Tara L.Paige, along with Dr. Ashlye V. Wilkerson, Girl Trek, and a full roster of speakers on Saturday. Tara L
Paige will also honor some of the nation’s best, including the late Natalie Desselle Reid, Kim Roxie, The
Lamont Brothers, Dr. Kathy Tatum, Benaisha Poole–Watson, and Dr. Tonisha Melvin during the TPC
Awards Luncheon. TPCcon will close out with Praise on The Patio hosted by Comedian
NotKarltonBanks, appearance by Stephanie Drake–Carlisle, performances by Gospel Artist Anthony
Hall and international psalmist Shellea M. Wade.
The three–day event will feature hundreds of guests including exhibitors, speakers, and attendees from
around the globe. The Patio Chic, LLC and Signed Luxe Agency will work closely with the City of Houston
and convention officials to ensure adherence to Covid–19 Protocols and the safety of participants,
volunteers, and staff.
