- The day started off with our minds on the money and the money on our minds thanks to a game-changing panel of million-dollar + business owners Brandy Woods-Smith, Jessica Wright and Eshonda Blue. Moderated by Lamar Tyler, these ladies dropped knowledge on “Accelerating Wealth: Leveraging Your Seven-Figure Business to Create an Eight-Figure Wealth Engine.” Not only did they share their personal testimonies of success, they also shared the pitfalls, the pivots, the mindset shifts and the increase that can happen when you tap into what’s already available to you to grow your business to higher heights.
- Speaking of money, Raphael Sofoluke picked up the coin baton and spoke about “Building a Business through Partnerships.” As a serial entrepreneur, author and visionary founder of the UK Black Business Show, Raphael knows a thing or two about finding the money. Specifically, he discussed how to navigate and unlock corporate sponsorships and how to unlock financial resources for funding. Moderated by TSP’s Director of Operations, Doreen Rainey, the conversation was on time and gave everything it needed to equip the audience with tips and tools they can use to partner more and bring more money into their businesses.
- Traffic Sales and Profit Founder, Lamar Tyler, came through dropping MORE major keys, as always! This time, his session, “Beyond Intentions: Empowering Success with Bold, Massive Action” gave the TSP audience a collective revelation that in the pursuit of success, many of us find ourselves trapped in the realm of intention; and while we set goals, make plans and dream big dreams, we often fail to translate our intentions into tangible results. To escape the pitfalls of intentions, Lamar drove the point home that it’s the power of BOLDNESS that gives us the audacity to venture into uncharted territories and the motivation to step outside of our comfort zones to take massive action.
- Then TSP Co-Founder, Ronnie Tyler, joined Lamar on stage to discuss “Efficiency Unleashed: Harnessing Systems, Processes and Automation to Propel Your Small Business.” As a former IBM project manager, Ronnie is a MASTER at efficiency and knows exactly what it takes to optimize your operations. In her discussion she explained how systems are the backbone of an efficient business; especially, because they provide structure, consistency and clarity to your operations. She also shared tips on how to identify the areas of your business that could use systems and streamlining as well as clarifying and optimizing your processes and embracing automation tools to revolutionize the way you do business.
- But what’s a day without a TSP surprise, right? Day Three featured a brand new announcement regarding TSP’s own streaming network, theConvo™! You may remember that Lamar and Ronnie launched theConvo™ at TSP Game Plan this past January 2023. Well, a lot has happened since then, and now, the celebrated home for conversations around Black wealth and entrepreneurship has not only become a 2x Telly Award-winning platform in just a matter of months, but has also announced nationally recognized media personality, contributor and public speaker, René Syler (CBS Early Show, Aspire TV’s Exhale, Sweet Retreats), as a part of its elevation! - Then, the OG of “Black Girl Magic” entered the building… the LEGENDARY, dynamic media pioneer, Ms. Cathy Hughes, graced the TSP LIVE 2023 stage with all her powerhouse glory and brought the fire that every single attendee needed to light their individual flames of success and fuel them for MORE! As Founder and Chairperson of Urban One, Inc., the largest African-American owned and operated, broadcast company in the nation, Ms. Hughes’ unprecedented career has spawned a multi-media conglomerate that generates original content across the spectrums of radio, television and digital media. In her discussion, she talked about how to scale in your business and tips on how to leverage each other to scale quicker, as opposed to the long journey of organic growth; and in her matter-of-fact way, she put a period behind that point by saying, “We ain’t got time for that!” There was so much wisdom, sage advice and sound direction that Ms. Hughes shared with the TSP LIVE audience. Every lesson or tip she shared was coupled with her personal testimony and plenty of mic drop moments that left the audience toggling between AH-HA moments of revelation, shouting “AMENs” and collective laughter. To be in the room was like sitting at the feet of royalty… enough said.
- One of the greatest highlights of a TSP LIVE conference is the giveback! Every year, Lamar and Ronnie extend an opportunity for conference-goers to purchase a full video replay of the event and 100% of the proceeds are donated to a nonprofit that is doing great work in the Black community. This year’s recipient was the Black and Missing Foundation, whose mission is to bring awareness to missing persons of color, provide vital resources and tools to the families and friends of missing persons, and educate the minority community on personal safety. Thanks to the funds raised by the TSP LIVE audience, Lamar and Ronnie were able to present the organization with a generous donation of $66,034!
- But did you think the surprises were over? If you haven’t figured it out by now, you should know that there’s always one hiding in Lamar’s back pocket. THIS time, he announced that he’s bringing a NO LIMIT SOLDIER to TSP in January at the annual TSP GAME PLANconference! That will be none other than famed rapper, hip hop mogul, record exec and entrepreneur, Percy Miller, Sr., better known as, MASTER P! In an exclusive video announcing his participation, Master P said, “… I’ll see y’all at TSP Game Plan in January. I’m going to give y’all all my tips, all my game, I want to give y’all the blueprint. Y’all entrepreneurs, and future entrepreneurs, I’ll see y’all in January.”

- TSP AFTER DARK closed out the day with a surprise concert from Hip Hop Legend, Slick Rick, aka “Rick the Ruler!” Deemed the most successful British-American rapper in music history, Slick Rick did not hold back in performing his greatest hits, including “La Di Da Di,” “Children’s Story,” “Hey Young World,” “Teenage Love,” “The Show,” “Mona Lisa,” “Behind Bars,” “The Ruler’s Back,” “Street Talkin’” and more! It was the perfect way to wrap a jam-packed conference weekend AND celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop!
