SO, EXACTLY HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met through mutual friends. He introduced himself to me but I wasn’t ready to be approached in such a sure way. We stayed friends for 5 years. We’d Skype and chat periodically. One day he just kept texting me. I told him he needed to call me to continue the conversation and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE PERSON THAT YOU WOULD MARRY?
His certainty. He had such a plan for his life and would speak about it including me in these plans. I knew I could trust him fully with everything. The way he represented himself let me know he could be a wonderful husband and an amazing father. And he is.
DESCRIBE THE PROPOSAL?
He took me to the restaurant we went to for our first date. After dinner we went outside on the patio, in the beginning of February, and he got down on one knee. It was such a beautiful and magical night. It was just us two, and the waiter who was recording video for us. It makes me smile and chuckle a little to know he enjoys such intimate moments privately, but made sure we had video and images to remember the night.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED?
7 Years
How do you Balance Work, Home and Fun Times?
I think pouring into yourself is important as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. I think it’s even more important to be my best self in the presence of my children, so my self care routines and habits have become a non-negotiable. That has personally allowed me to balance it all. I also have a work schedule that is flexible and allows for more space for me to tend to our children, as I homeschool them, and tend to our home. Although we have don’t have family close, both of our parents visit often. When they’re here, we are sure to schedule a few days nights. When it’s just us, we hire our favorite babysitter to watch our children and enjoy ourselves.
