WHAT DID YOU LEARN DURING YOUR TIME A YOUR COLLEGE?
I learned how to be resilient and how to manage money. I remember my friends and I putting our money together to buy pizza. This was the beginning of how to make something out of nothing.
WHAT WAS YOUR DECISION TO PLEDGE ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA INC?
Growing up, I loved everything that Alpha Kappa Alpha women represented. They were poised and classy. I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a member of the first black sorority.
HOW DID YOUR HBCU EFFECT YOUR LIFE?
Grambling State University is credited with shaping me into the woman I am today. My college experience taught me life skills that I still use to date.
SHARE 3 OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL THING YOU HAVE DONE SINCE LEAVING COLLEGE?
1). I founded two successful companies: Brilliant Girl and Black Girlz Productions.
2).I donated over 90 dolls to children in need.
3).I won best theatrical presentation at the SITA awards in NYC.
WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE A YOUNG ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA?
Be a good person, always keep God first, and continue to be of service to all mankind.
WHAT IS NEXT FOR YOU WITH IN 5 YEARS?
I plan to be an international brand.
